Remake of Alice in Wonderland (2010)
US $50–$200 million
Director: Tim Burton

The film Alice in wonderland has been remade not only to modernise but to change to a real life cast. I believe that it has been remade potentially to viewers who has seen the original or not, in the original version the film was animated and produced by Disney, they remade it in 2010 having different directors but it remained being produced by Disney.

I prefer the remake of Alice in wonderland over the other simply because it is a real life cast but comparing them two together is sort of incomparable, but what i can say is that the director portrayed the characters very well as though it was a copy of the original therefore it lacked a sense of originality but because Tim Burto.n is a well known director of his certain Gothic weird themes, applying to this Alice in wonderland was a great idea because it allowed the film to be unique and something new which in the eyes of consumers enjoy.

The target audience for the remake and the original is both 7-15 years of age which is the intended audience but you could argue that those who've seen the original or a fanatic of the movie may also enjoy it therefore benefiting them also as well as the new viewers.

Both films share the same plot and as-well as no strict storyline.

I also believe that the film had been remade but with updated views of society as it is today, example of this would be in the original film the flower characters were only female but now the flower characters are men too shows how gays are accepted today whereas it was seen as indifferent back then when the original film was made.

There are not many other things to compare as it would seem incomparable due to the fact that the original was a animation, the target audience remains the same, all in all the original was remade to turn it into real life scenes.
